The Email Marketing Your Bento Account Should Already Be Doing
An honest roadmap of what to build next, then bespoke implementation
You’re on Bento
The Email Marketing Your Bento Account Should Already Be Doing
“I don’t really know who wants to buy what. I just kind of blast everybody with the same messaging.”
— An operator at a multi-million-dollar business said this on our first call
You’re on Bento and looking to grow. You know there’s more revenue locked in your email list: more campaigns you could be running, more automations you could be improving, more subscribers you could be re-engaging.
You just don’t know where to start, what’s worth building, or how to find the time to do it.
Three pains keep most Bento accounts under-utilized:
- Doing it yourself. Your team has other priorities. Email is on the “we should really fix that” list and has been for months (or years).
- Figuring out what’s possible. You know there’s untapped potential. Right now you’re mostly sending the same emails to everybody (probably broadcasts with a single simple nurturing sequence) but you don’t know which campaigns to build next.
- Having the time to do it. Even when you know what to build, the work of designing, writing, building, testing, and launching campaigns is its own job.
The result: a Bento account doing a fraction of what it could be earning.
That’s what I help with.
What good looks like
Make More Money From Email
- New subscribers get a personalized welcome experience based on who they are and how they found you, not a one-size-fits-all blast
- Existing customers get lifecycle check-ins, upgrade campaigns, and cross-sell sequences on autopilot, without you remembering to write them
- Cold subscribers get reactivated by sequences that actually re-engage them instead of pushing unsubscribes
- Seasonal holidays and moments have a tested playbook ready to run (BFCM, holidays, course launches, product drops), not a panicked “what do we send?” scramble the week before
- You know which emails drive sales, which segments are most valuable, and what to ship next because the attribution is set up correctly and the data is there to read
The result: a Bento account that generates predictable revenue, a list that feels personally engaged instead of blasted at, and an operator (that’s you) who doesn’t feel the email marketing software is the bottleneck for every campaign that ships.
The offer
Start With the Roadmap
A roadmap breaks down the email campaigns, automations, and sequences worth building, each with a projected ROI based on your account’s actual data, not industry averages. You’ll leave with a clear answer to “what email marketing do we ship next?” and an honest read on what your list can support.
Implementation is quoted separately, per campaign or project, based on your priorities. You’re never locked into anything beyond the roadmap.
The roadmap is yours regardless. If you decide not to move forward with implementation, you have a complete plan you can hand to another implementer or act on yourself.
How I work
Diagnose First. Build Second. Measure Third.
Phase 1: The Roadmap ($2,000)
I review your Bento account, current automations, list health, and revenue data. I deliver a ranked plan of what to build, in what order, with projected returns:
- 60-minute kickoff call: I ask you questions to gather context on your customers, products, and email marketing. Then I use that context as I dive into your Bento account and analytics platform (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Account + performance audit: I read your automations, sequences, forms, integrations, segment health, and email health. Then I pull AOV, repeat purchase rate, open rates, click rates, attributed revenue, and conversion trends from your data and tell you what’s actually happening.
- Ranked campaign recommendations: I prepare a list of specific campaigns to build, ordered by projected ROI with implementation cost and timeline
- Honest assessment: I share technical issues and fixes I identified (tracking, data preservation, infrastructure, etc.) plus realistic year-1 projections and straight talk about what your list will and won’t support
- 60-minute review call: I walk you through what I found and what to build, then you and I pick implementation priorities.
Phase 2: Implementation (quoted per campaign)
Once you’ve picked priorities, I quote each project as its own scope. Common focus areas during builds include:
- Lifecycle emails: 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, 12-month anniversary check-ins
- Welcome sequence personalization: rebuilds with persona- and source-based variants
- Ghost newsletter / evergreen weekly content: infrastructure so your new subscribers get a regular series of relevant emails (whenever they sign up)
- Persona-based segmentation: different personalized content tracks per audience segment
- Reactivation campaigns for dormant subscribers
- BFCM and seasonal sequences
- Upgrade campaigns, broadcasts, and launches to existing customers
- List growth strategies to fill the top of the funnel
And I measure. Every campaign I build ships with Bento attribution wired up so we can see ROI campaign-by-campaign and know what’s earning, what isn’t, and what to ship next.
You approve what to build, I build it, you review it, I launch it on your account. This keeps you in control of budget and pace. You always know what you’ll be investing in a project before kickoff.
Jesse Hanley Built Bento. He Sends Growth Clients to Me.
Jesse Hanley (Bento’s founder) calls me a “wizard” with the platform. He recommends me when customers need someone to get more out of their Bento account.
I use Bento extensively in my own businesses (KaiDavis.com, KeywordMagic.ai, and DoubleYourEcommerce.com), with multi-segment personalization, extended welcome sequences, and tag-based attribution. I’ve been doing email marketing for 15+ years, ecommerce email marketing for 10+, and Bento for 2+.
I do this work personally. No junior associates, no rotating team, no handoffs to people you haven’t met. You’re working directly with me the entire time.
What clients say
What My Email Marketing Clients Say
These are from broader email marketing work. I’ll share Bento-specific case studies on our consult call.
“As CEO, I run marketing but I also run legal, finance, procurement and basically everything else. We needed someone to hand off a whole bunch of marketing work to. Kai’s role expanded to take over a bunch of our marketing, including handling all of our email campaigns and email marketing. Having Kai focused on our marketing increased our capabilities by quite a bit and has helped our lead generation and audience growth. It took a lot of work off my plate. What I like most is that Kai looks for problems to solve. He treats the business as his own.”
Mike Julian, CEO, The Duckbill Group / Last Week in AWS
“We immediately saw our email campaigns spike! Kai worked with us to get us what we needed in our tight timeframe. The work was delivered in a detailed manner, written in layman’s terms, which was refreshing.”
KJ Smith, Marketing Director, RIPT Apparel
Is this for you?
Who Is This Service For?
This is for course, coaching, info-product, ecommerce, and SaaS businesses already on Bento, with a list that’s being underused and revenue you believe is locked in your subscriber base.
This is not for you if you’re on a different platform and considering migrating to Bento. See Migrate to Bento for that. And it’s not for you if you have a few hundred subscribers and don’t see a path to more revenue from email. See my 1-on-1 Marketing Clarity Call for that.
Common questions
Everything You Need to Know
Why do I need a roadmap if I’m already on Bento?
Because Bento gives you the capability. But capability without strategy doesn’t ship campaigns and generate revenue. This roadmap is the strategic layer: what to build, in what order, with what projected return. You leave with a prioritized plan, not a list of features.
What if my list has gone cold?
I start with reactivation and segmentation before anything else. If the data shows your list can’t support the campaigns you’re hoping for, you’ll hear that before you spend on implementation. The roadmap is honest first, optimistic second.
How do you decide what to build first?
I rank every recommended campaign by projected ROI, implementation cost, and time-to-value. You see the full ranked list and you and I pick what to build together based on your priorities and budget.
Is there a refund policy?
Because this is a high-touch, bespoke service, there are no refunds. You may cancel and reschedule without penalty, subject to mutually agreeable dates.
How it works
Here’s Exactly What Happens Next
- Book your roadmap consultation. I’ll ask about your current Bento setup, your goals, and what you wish your email program was doing. Schedule your call here.
- I’ll scope the roadmap. Based on the call, I’ll confirm the scope and send you a statement of work.
- You pay and kickoff begins. Payment is 100% upfront. That’s how I reserve the time on my calendar.
- Roadmap delivered in 2-3 weeks. You’ll receive the ranked plan plus a 60-minute walkthrough call.
- You decide what to build. I quote implementation per campaign. You pick what ships and when.
One more thing
P.S. Already know which campaign you want built? Send me an email describing what you have in mind. I’ll let you know whether it makes sense as a one-off build or as part of a roadmap.
